Tournament Rundown - Portland Open
Round 1: Paul McBeth ran out to a commanding lead early in the first day of competition but it wasn't enough to hold off Ricky Wysocki who stormed back to take the lead after the first round at 8 under. Simon Lizotte continued to show that his elbow issues are behind him by throwing one of two bogey free cards on the day.
Round 2: Eagle McMahon and Kevin Jones both tied for the best scores on the second day at 8 under. Eagle took a 2 shot lead at the end of the round after going 7 under on the first day. Simon ended his streak of bogey free golf on the first hole of the second round after going OB. Despite this he played the rest of the round at par or better and ended the day tied for 2nd with Kevin Jones and Ricky Wysocki.
Round 3: The third was a back and forth affair with Eagle coming into the day in the lead but lost it to Kevin Jones after Kevin carded five straight birdies on the front 9. His lead was all for naught on hole 15 after having to four putt on the par 3 following an errant tee shot and trouble with the wind on the green. That hole ultimately vanquished him to a 4th place finish and opened the door back up for Eagle to win his second straight DGPT event.
