Dynamic Discs Moonshine Plastic
Moonshine is not a plastic on its own — it is Dynamic Discs' glow compound, mixed into blends they already make. That is why you see it as Lucid Moonshine and Classic Blend Moonshine rather than as "Moonshine": the mold flies the way its host plastic flies, and the glow is what you get on top.
Feel and durability
Each Moonshine run feels like the plastic it is built on. Lucid Moonshine is firm and premium-durable; Classic Blend Moonshine is the softer, grippier baseline. Players commonly find glow runs a shade firmer and a shade more stable than the clear version of the same blend, so a Moonshine disc tends to beat in a little slower than its non-glow twin.
Charging the glow
The additive is phosphorescent, so it needs light before it gives light. A few seconds under a phone torch or a UV light is enough, and the glow is brightest in the first minute before it fades. Charge between holes rather than once at the start of the round.
Best uses
Night rounds and glow leagues first, and any round that will finish after sunset. It also earns its place in daylight on courses with deep leaf litter or tall grass, where a bright opaque base is far easier to find than clear premium plastic.
In the bag
Most players carry glow in the discs they throw at targets rather than for distance — putters and approach discs — so one or two Moonshine molds usually covers a night round. For the full glow selection across every brand we stock, see Glow in the Dark. For the same molds in non-glow plastic, Lucid is the premium option.
