Streamline Turbulence

The Streamline Turbulence is an overstable fairway driver built for one job: go where you aim. It is not a “free distance” fairway. It is a control tool for wind, angles, and tight landing zones.

The headline feature is the concave flight plate. It is designed to reduce glide. That changes how the disc behaves in the air. It stays lower. It holds speed without floating. It also tends to land with less surprise.

If you have ever parked a hole and still slid long, you get the point. Some fairways carry past the target. The Turbulence is built to check up sooner. It gives you confidence on fast greens and short par fours.

Thrown flat, the Streamline Turbulence tracks straight for a moment. Then it begins a hard, forward fade. The finish is strong, but it is not a giant flare. It wants to move forward as it fades.

This is a great disc for headwinds. Low glide helps keep the flight from ballooning. The overstable finish keeps it from turning over. You can throw it low and trust the line.

It also shines on spike hyzers. The reduced glide makes the angle more forgiving. You can aim high, let it drop, and land on command. It is a great “over the top and sit” fairway.

Forehand players will like the feel and the torque safety. The concave top helps the release feel clean. The Turbulence holds up to a firm flick. It fights out of anhyzer when you give it space.

It is also useful for forced flex lines. Give it a controlled anhyzer. Let it pan without sailing. Then watch it flex out and land where you planned. This is a strong choice when you need a shaped line in wind.

Do not buy this expecting big glide. That is not the point. The Turbulence is a placement fairway. It is for players who value misses that stay close.

Flight: 7 | 2 | 0 | 3.5. Low-glide stability for accurate fairway lines and dependable finish. Official Turbulence overview.

FAQs

What does “low glide” actually change on the course?

Low glide means the disc carries less after it slows down. It stays on a lower, tighter flight. That helps in wind and on fast greens. It also reduces long skips past the pin.

Streamline Turbulence vs MVP Resistor: which one is better in headwinds?

Both are wind fighters. The Turbulence is built to fly lower with less float. The Resistor often has more traditional fairway glide. Choose Turbulence when you want a shorter, more “on rails” finish.

Is the Turbulence good for forehand placement drives?

Yes. It handles torque well and finishes reliably. It is great for straight forehands that must finish left late. It is also great for short flex flicks around obstacles.

How do I throw spike hyzers with the Turbulence without sailing long?

Keep the nose down and aim higher than usual. Let the low glide do the work. The disc will drop instead of floating forward. Use it when you need a vertical land-and-stick.

What weight should I choose for the Turbulence?

Heavier weights near max tend to feel more wind-safe. They also finish more consistently. Lighter weights can be easier to throw flat, but may move more in gusts. If you play in wind often, start heavier.
