Innova Leopard

Innova Leopard is the classic “first fairway driver” for a reason. It has easy glide and gentle turn. It helps newer players get real fairway distance. It still has a place for advanced players.

This mold loves clean form. Release it flat and it tracks straight. It drifts right late for many backhands. That makes it perfect for shaping wooded fairways. You can work long tunnels without forcing speed.

Give it a little hyzer and it becomes a hyzer-flip machine. It stands up, glides forward, and finishes softly. That soft finish matters on narrow holes. You get distance without a hard skip. It’s also great under low ceilings.

For experienced arms, the Leopard becomes a line tool. It’s an easy turnover driver that holds the angle. It’s a great touch disc for right-moving shots. You can also throw gentle standstill lasers with it.

The Innova Leopard also makes a dependable roller. You can set it down with a smooth angle. It stands up and rides. That’s useful when the fairway is pinched. It’s also a great “get out of trouble” disc.

Flight: 6 | 5 | −2 | 1. High glide and workable turn with a small, dependable finish. Official Leopard overview

Why throw the Leopard?

  • Easy distance for newer players without feeling unpredictable.
  • Long turnovers that hold the line instead of fading out early.
  • Clean hyzer-flips for tight fairways and low ceilings.
  • Controlled rollers that stand up and travel.
  • A reliable “touch driver” when placement matters most.

Plastics

DX: Baseline grip with the easiest turn and the softest finish. Great for learning hyzer-flips and turnover angles.

Pro: Added durability with excellent grip. Often keeps the Leopard feel while resisting nicks better than DX.

GStar: Flexible premium with a tacky feel. Great in colder weather and for players who want extra glide.

Star: Premium grip with long-term durability. A great “main bag” Leopard that seasons into perfect workability.

Champion: Most durable and often the most stable of the core blends. Great when you want less drift and more finish.

Special runs: Some releases show up in glow or Halo-style blends. These runs are usually more stable and more collectible.

FAQs

Leopard vs Leopard3: which one should I buy?

The Leopard is slower and easier to shape. It’s great for learning hyzer-flips. The Leopard3 is faster and often feels a bit firmer in flight. Pick Leopard3 if you want more speed with the same movement.

Is the Innova Leopard good for hyzer-flip shots?

Yes. That is one of its best uses. Start with a small hyzer. Let it stand up and glide. It teaches clean release angles and timing.

What’s the best Leopard plastic for a long turnover that won’t fade out?

DX and Pro are usually easiest for long right drift. GStar can also hold turn smoothly. If you need more resistance, go Star. Champion is best when you want less drift.

Can the Leopard be a roller disc?

Yes. Many players use it as a long, controllable roller. It’s easy to set down. It stands up well. Use lighter weights or more understable blends for easier roll speed.

How stable is a Champion Leopard compared to DX?

Champion is usually more stable and more durable. It tends to turn less and finish a bit stronger. DX turns earlier and beats in faster. That makes DX great for learning, and Champion great for consistency.
