The Innova Toro is a flat-top, overstable approach disc built for control in wind, co-designed with Calvin Heimburg to handle real torque. Rated 4/2/1/3, it lives in the "trust it" slot: slower than a midrange, faster than most throwing putters, with low glide and a dependable, hard finish. Thrown flat, it pushes forward on a short, controlled window, then bites and fades with intent. On a hyzer it feels automatic, holding the angle and getting to the ground on time. Forehand players love the fast-feeling flat top, and the strong overstability keeps it from wobbling off line. If you already bag a Zone or a Harp, the Toro gives you an Innova-flavored option that is very confident in wind.

Why Throw the Toro?

💨

Wind-Fighting Control

A wind-fighting approach disc with a predictable, dependable finish for the moments when a shot absolutely has to hold.

🤾

Flat-Top Forehand

The flat top feels fast out of the hand and releases clean on forehand, and the overstability keeps it from wobbling off line.

🎯

Point-and-Shoot Hyzers

Spike hyzers to guarded greens that hold the angle and land on time. On firm ground, it plays clean skip finishes too.

↩️

Reliable Flex Approaches

Put it on a small anhyzer and it fights out early, giving a reliable "bend then fade" shape when a straight shot isn't there.

🛡️

True Utility Disc

A dedicated utility approach disc for high-pressure placement shots that must finish safe and left (RHBH).

🐂

Heimburg-Designed

Co-designed with Calvin Heimburg and built to handle torque. Think of it as an Innova-flavored Zone or Harp for windy days.

↪️ More Fade

The Toro is already one of the most overstable approach discs at its speed. The Zone OS is about as beefy as it gets before you size up to a driver.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Toro is rated 4 | 2 | 1 | 3. That's approach speed with low glide and a strong, dependable fade. The plus-turn means it resists high-speed turn hard, making it a very overstable disc for forehands, wind, and must-finish lines.
They cover a similar overstable-approach job. The Toro is flatter and very forehand friendly, while the Zone has more glide and a different hand feel. Choose the one you release cleaner.
It sits between them. It has approach speed, not full midrange carry. It feels faster than a Rhyno but slower than a Caiman, filling the short-range utility slot.
Forehand approaches, windy upshots, spike hyzers, and skip finishes. It is also great for short flex lines that must bend then fade back safely.
Champion-style runs tend to hold stability the longest. Star gives you more grip with a slightly softer feel, and glow or Halo-style special runs often add extra bite.
Give it height or aim for a flatter landing zone, and keep the nose down with smooth spin. If you still need more carry, disc up to a Caiman.
