Prodigy AIR Plastic

AIR is Prodigy's lightweight premium option — a modified version of the 400 base resin, reworked so the discs come out light without feeling cheap. Most runs land around 148 to 162 grams.

Feel and durability

It is 400 plastic, so it feels like 400 plastic: a refined, slightly grippy premium surface that holds up far better than the baseline blends lightweight discs usually come in. That is the whole point of the line — light weight without the short lifespan that normally comes with it.

Stability and break-in

A lighter disc in the same mold flies a little less stable than a max-weight one. Expect it to stand up sooner, turn more willingly, and finish forward rather than hard left. That is a feature if you are throwing it for the reason most people do.

Best uses

Distance from a slower arm, hyzer-flips that need less power to stand up, and tailwind lines. Also worth a look if heat, injury or age has you wanting a disc that costs less effort per throw.

In the bag

Prodigy runs AIR on molds including the F3, F7, M3, M4, D2, D4 and X3. If you want the same premium feel at full weight, 400 is the direct equivalent; 500 is the firmer, more durable step up.
