Flight Numbers

11Speed
6Glide
-3Turn
2Fade

Latitude 64's brand new Easy-to-Use distance driver — the speed of the Grace paired with the understability and glide of the Diamond. The Amber is a speed-11 driver that doesn't demand max power: it flips easily, glides forever, and finishes gently. Released June 2026 and always available in lower weights.

Why Throw the Amber?

💎

The Diamond's Big Sibling

If you've mastered the Diamond (8/6/-3/1) and want more distance, the Amber is the designed next step. Same understable, glide-first philosophy — scaled up to a speed-11 chassis. Latitude 64 built it specifically as the Diamond graduation disc.

🪶

Always Available in Light Weights

As part of the Easy-to-Use Line, the Amber will always come in lower weights (typically 145–165g). Lighter discs are easier to get up to speed, which means more players can access the full 11-speed flight without elite power.

🪁

Glide That Carries

A glide of 6 keeps the Amber in the air longer than typical distance drivers. Combined with the -3 turn, the disc spends its flight moving forward instead of fading out early. Moderate arms get genuinely long flights.

🔄

Hyzer-Flip Distance Machine

Release on slight hyzer and the Amber stands up to flat, rides the glide, and finishes with a gentle 2 fade. The full S-curve is accessible at moderate power — the kind of flight that usually requires either elite arm speed or a perfectly seasoned disc.

➡️

Turnovers and Rollers

The -3 turn commits to right-moving lines (RHBH) without rolling over wildly. Release flat for drifting turnovers, or put it on a steeper anhyzer for controlled rollers. Seasoned players will find it a versatile shot-shaping tool.

🇸🇪

Swedish-Made Opto Quality

Launched in Latitude 64's flagship Opto plastic — one of the most durable blends in disc golf. The Amber's "sweet spot" stability survives tree hits and heavy use, so the flight you love stays consistent season after season.

Plastics

Launch

Opto

Premium • Translucent • Ultra-Durable

The Amber's launch plastic. Opto is one of the world's most durable blends — translucent, vibrant, and built to keep its flight through years of tree hits and rough landings. Light weights are standard for this Easy-to-Use mold.

Opto Moonshine

Premium • Glow • Expected Later

Latitude 64's glow-in-the-dark Opto variant. Based on the brand's pattern with other Easy-to-Use molds, expect Moonshine Amber runs for night rounds in future releases. Same durable flight with added visibility.

Gold Line

Premium • Grippy • Expected Later

Lat 64's grippier premium blend with a softer feel than Opto. Gold Line Ambers would offer more tactile grip and a touch more flex. Watch for future runs as the mold expands beyond its launch plastic.

Frequently Asked Questions

It's Latitude 64's family of beginner-and-up-friendly molds — discs like the Diamond, River, and now the Amber — that are always produced in lower weights and designed to fly well at moderate arm speeds. The Amber extends that philosophy to a speed-11 distance driver for the first time, giving Easy-to-Use players a true distance option.
When the Diamond starts flipping over on full power throws, you've outgrown it — that's the signal. The Amber (11/6/-3/2) gives you three more speed points with the same understable, high-glide feel. Latitude 64 designed it specifically as the Diamond's next step. Expect a similar flight shape with noticeably more distance once you can get it up to speed.
The Grace (11/6/-1/2) is the stable workhorse — only -1 turn, built for controlled distance at higher power. The Amber (11/6/-3/2) borrows the Grace's speed but adds two more points of turn for players who can't yet activate the Grace's flight. If the Grace flies like a meathook for you, the Amber is the answer. If the Amber flips too easily, graduate to the Grace.
Less than almost any other 11-speed. The -3 turn, glide of 6, and lighter Easy-to-Use weights mean players throwing 250–300 feet get real, full flights. Even slower arms will see the disc flip up and carry. If you can throw a Diamond or River, the Amber is within reach.
Both are glide-6 11-speeds, but the Amber (11/6/-3/2) has one more point of turn than the Scorch (11/6/-2/2). The Amber is flippier and lighter (Easy-to-Use weights), making it more accessible for slower arms. The Scorch is a touch more stable and commonly available in heavier max-weight runs. Similar philosophy, slightly different audiences.
Not recommended. The -3 turn and light weights make the Amber very wind-sensitive — headwinds will flip it over. Save it for calm air and tailwinds, where its glide becomes a superpower. For headwind shots at this speed, reach for the Grace or a Defy.
As an Easy-to-Use Line disc, the Amber is always produced in lower weights — typically in the 145–165g range rather than max weight. The PDGA max for the mold is 174.3g, but lighter runs are the standard. Lighter weight plus understable flight is the whole point: distance without demanding power.
