It is one of the very best beginner fairway drivers ever made. Its high glide, understable turn, and light weight options let new players get easy distance and straight flights without power, and it is perfect for learning hyzer-flips and clean release angles.

The Diamond is mainly produced in lighter weights, often 145 to 160g in Opto and Opto Air, with ultra-light Gravity versions around 120 to 130g. Lighter weights make it easier to throw far with less arm speed.

It is not built for power forehands. Because it is very understable, sidearm torque will flip it over quickly. For touch turnover forehands with low power it can work, but for a forehand fairway driver, a more stable disc is a better choice.

As your power grows, the -3 turn will start to flip and roll the disc on flat throws. Many players keep it as a dedicated turnover, tailwind, and roller disc, or move up to a slightly more stable understable driver like the Innova Leopard or Leopard3.

Opto is the durable, all-around premium pick. Gold adds extra grip and control. Opto Air is lightweight for even easier glide, and Gravity is ultra-light and floaty, the easiest option for kids and the lowest arm speeds.
