Westside Discs Destiny

Westside Discs Destiny is a high-speed distance driver made for effortless carry. It is understable, but not uncontrollable. The big story is glide.

The Destiny is a great “first bomber” for many players. It has speed-14 potential, but it does not demand elite power. If you have been stuck in the 10–12 speed lane, this can be your jump.

Thrown flat, the Destiny wants to stand up and drift. The drift is smooth and continuous. It is great for long right movement on a backhand. It is also great for wide S-curves in open fairways.

Give it a small hyzer and it becomes a true hyzer-flip driver. It flips to flat, keeps gliding, and finishes forward. That is the recipe for easy distance. It is also useful under low ceilings, because it carries on a flatter plane.

For higher-power arms, the Destiny becomes a shape tool. You can throw long turnovers that never fade out early. You can also throw high anhyzers that keep panning. If you want max distance without a hard hook, this fits.

Wind matters with any understable bomber. In a tailwind, the Destiny feels magical. It stays in the air and pushes forward. In a headwind, it can turn earlier than you expect. If the wind is strong, disc up in stability.

The Westside Discs Destiny is also a sneaky roller option. It gets to the ground fast and stands up easily. Use it for distance rollers, or for late-turning rollers in the woods. It is also a useful “get out of trouble” disc.

If you like a wide rim but hate a harsh finish, this mold makes sense. It gives you speed without the constant fear of dumping left. It is built for players who want distance and workable angles.

Flight: 14 | 6 | −2 | 3. Understable speed with huge glide and a dependable finish when thrown clean. Official Destiny overview

Why throw the Destiny?

  • Easy distance from high glide and workable turn.
  • Hyzer-flips that ride straight for a long time.
  • Long turnovers that hold the angle instead of fading out.
  • Tailwind bombs that keep pushing forward.
  • Roller potential without extreme release angles.

Plastics

VIP: Durable, transparent premium that holds flight traits for a long time. Great for consistent, repeatable runs.

Tournament: Premium durability with slightly better grip than VIP. A great choice if you want a touch more feel.

VIP Air: Lightweight VIP designed for easier distance and easier flip-up flights. Great for developing arms and tailwinds.

VIP Ice: A firmer premium feel that often adds torque resistance. Great when you want a tighter finish.

VIP Moonshine: Glow version of VIP for night rounds and low light. Expect the same durable, premium feel.

Hybrid (special runs): A premium “mix” run that can feel between VIP and Tournament. Feel and stability can vary by batch.

FAQs

Is the Destiny a good max-distance driver for intermediate players?

Yes. The glide and understability help you access full-flight distance. Many intermediates get their longest flights with a gentle hyzer-flip.

Destiny vs Tern vs Shryke: which one is easier to throw far?

They live in the same “glidey distance” lane. Destiny is a wide-rim bomber with a workable finish. Tern and Shryke often feel a bit easier to control in the 12–13 speed range.

How do I throw the Destiny for a straight hyzer-flip?

Start with a small hyzer and smooth power. Keep the nose down and let the disc stand up. If it turns too much, add more hyzer or choose a heavier, firmer run.

Is the Westside Discs Destiny a good roller disc?

Yes. It stands up quickly and carries down the fairway. It works for distance rollers and late-turning rollers when you need right movement.

Which Destiny plastic should I choose?

Choose VIP for long-term consistency. Choose Tournament for extra grip. Choose VIP Air for easier distance in lighter weights. Choose VIP Ice when you want a firmer feel and more control. Choose Moonshine for glow visibility.
