The Innova Discs Invictus is a high-performance distance driver, renowned for its overstable nature and suitability for long-range throws. The name "Invictus," meaning "unconquered" in Latin, aptly describes this disc's capability, especially for long-range throws into headwinds where it stands unmatched. The Invictus is noted for its speed, with a rating of 10, and is often referred to by professionals as a "faster Firebird," indicating its exceptional speed and stability characteristics.
The disc's flight characteristics make it an excellent choice for long-range forehands, headwind distance drives, and extreme hyzer throws. Its overstable nature means it is designed to fight through the wind, making it an invaluable disc for challenging windy conditions and for players who need a reliable disc that can handle such elements.
The Invictus is particularly suited for power throwers who desire to achieve maximum distance. However, it also handles well for average golfers, especially during windy conditions, showcasing its versatility across different skill levels. For more advanced players, the Invictus is a great choice as a distance driver, offering the ability to handle powerful throws with ease.
Pro Plastic
Innova Pro Line uses a special blend of plastics that provide unique qualities for each disc model. The different blends of Pro Line plastic produce discss with a wide range of rigidity from extremely soft to firm and stiff. Pro plastic is more durable than DX, and provides a better grip than Champion Plastic.
These discs are so crazy overstable it’s like throwing a slightly less stable Tilt, which flies like a really pretty garbage can lid (and I love them for that). The Invictus can be used for forced anhyzer flex lines in woods, etc. Definitely not a main driver for most mortals, but a great utility disc for the rest of us.
The champion Invictus is the embodiment of anger. You can try to force it over, but it flies kind of like a more glidey Tilt. When I need to throw into a raging headwind, or hyzer flick over a long water carry, or weave around trees in a 350′ forced turnover with a strong finish, there is only the Invictus.
