Prodigy's top-selling putt & approach disc — a beaded, stable putter built for laser-straight flights and a small, reliable fade. Thrown flat it stays straight and finishes gently; put it on hyzer and it holds the angle. A beaded workhorse in the KC Aviar family, equally at home as a confidence putter, a torque-resistant throwing putter, and a point-and-shoot approach disc. Note: some retailers list 3 | 4 | 0 | 1, but Prodigy's own pages commonly show 3 | 3 | 0 | 1, so that's the spec we use here.

Why Throw the PA-3?

🎯

Laser-Straight Flight

A clean, repeatable release with a gentle finish. It holds flat lines and ends with a small, trustworthy fade — exactly what you want from a confidence putter on the green.

💨

Wind-Sane Stability

The beaded rim helps it resist flipping and hold its line when the breeze kicks up, making it a dependable putting and approach option in less-than-calm air.

💪

Torque-Resistant Thrower

Handles clean power on short drives and approaches without turning over. It's a great point-and-shoot throwing putter that stays honest even when your timing isn't perfect.

🫧

Locked-In Beaded Grip

The bead gives a consistent reference point for your finger and a comfortable, repeatable grip — a big part of why so many players trust the PA-3 inside the circle.

🌱

Holds Up as It Seasons

The bead helps the PA-3 keep its stability as it wears in, so the flight you learn stays consistent round after round instead of flipping understable over time.

🥏

A Confidence Putter for Any Level

Beginners love the forgiving, straight flight; advanced players trust it for putting and short approaches. Often compared to classics like the KC Aviar for its beaded feel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — it's one of the most popular beginner-friendly putters and a top seller for good reason. The straight-to-stable flight, beaded rim, and forgiving glide make it easy to control for both putting and short approaches, while still being trusted by advanced players.
Both are speed-3 putters. The beaded PA-3 (3/3/0/1) flies straighter with a gentler finish — the better everyday putting and straight-throwing option. The beadless PA-1 (3/3/0/2) is more overstable with a stronger fade, so reach for it when you need wind resistance and forehand stability. Many players bag both.
Same speed, different stability. The PA-3 (3/3/0/1) flies straight with a small fade. The PA-4 (3/3/-1/1) adds a point of turn, so it flips up cleaner for turnovers, hyzer-flips, and easy stand-up lines. Choose the PA-4 if the PA-3 feels a touch too stable for the shapes you want.
Both. Its stability and torque resistance make it a great point-and-shoot throwing putter for short tee shots and approaches, and it doubles as a dependable putting putter inside the circle. It's a true workhorse putter that can do both without feeling touchy.
The bead is the small ridge on the bottom of the rim. It gives your finger a consistent reference point for a repeatable grip, adds a touch of stability, and helps the disc hold its flight as it seasons rather than going understable. If you prefer a beadless feel, look at the PA-1 or PA-4.
Most players putt best with 300, 300 Soft, or 300 Firm — pick the stiffness that matches your grip pressure and local weather. Choose 400 if you want a more durable, all-weather disc for throwing and approaches.
Players often describe it as sitting between classics like the KC Aviar, Magic, and Wizard — a comfortable beaded feel with reliable straight-stable flight and good glide. If you like beaded, slightly stable putters, the PA-3 is an easy one to trust.
