Flight Numbers
The benchmark distance driver. Since 2007, the Destroyer has been the disc golf world's most trusted power bomber — thrown by more world champions than any other mold.
Why Throw the Destroyer?
The Gold Standard
More world titles have been won with the Destroyer than any other distance driver. Avery Jenkins, Paul McBeth, and Ricky Wysocki all trusted it as their go-to bomber. It's the disc every other 12-speed is measured against.
Distance You Can Trust
The -1 turn gives it just enough high-speed movement for massive S-curves, while the 3 fade brings it back every time. Power throwers regularly push 400+ feet with confident, repeatable lines.
Headwind Reliable
Fresh Destroyers handle headwinds without flipping. The combination of speed 12 and fade 3 keeps the disc tracking forward when conditions demand stability.
Built to Cycle
No disc cycles better than the Destroyer. Fresh ones for overstable shots, seasoned ones for straight bombs, beat-in ones for turnovers. Many pros bag 3-5 Destroyers at different stages of wear.
Forehand Weapon
The flat, shallow nose and overstable finish make the Destroyer one of the best forehand distance drivers ever made. It handles torque without wobbling and finishes with authority.
Every Plastic Imaginable
Available in DX, Pro, Star, Champion, GStar, Halo Star, Blizzard, and Glow. Each plastic changes the flight — giving you an entire arsenal from a single mold.
Available Plastics
Star
Available NowThe go-to Destroyer plastic. Premium grip with excellent durability. Seasons into workable, slightly straighter flights over time. The sweet spot for most players.
Halo Star
Available NowTour-series premium plastic with eye-catching two-tone rims. Starts a touch more stable than regular Star, with extra glide. The premium choice for confident bombers.
Champion
Available NowMaximum durability and the most overstable Destroyer flight. Resists scuffing on rocky terrain and holds its stability for the longest. Great for forehand throwers.
Pro
Available NowGrippy, slightly softer feel with extra glide. Seasons faster than Star, producing straighter flights sooner. A great option for players wanting a more workable Destroyer.
DX
Available NowBaseline plastic with tons of grip. Beats in quickly for understable turnover bombs and rollers. Affordable for cycling — many players keep fresh and beat-in DX Destroyers.
Blizzard Champion
Available NowLightweight microbubble Champion plastic (as low as 130g). Makes the Destroyer accessible for slower arm speeds, adding distance potential without needing elite power.

Innova Destroyer The destroyer entered my bag long ago and has yet to leave. I’m a predominantly forehand thrower and this was one of the first distance drivers
I want to start off by saying this: If you can't throw your favorite mid-range at least 280ft+ you have no business throwing a Destroyer!!! Nobody can stop you and there are countless people who do it, and if it works for you then whatever. Just be AWARE you should not be throwing a Destroyer untill your arm is up to speed. Trust me!! You will not regret working your way up to a 12 speed. I know I didn't!!! As soon as I felt like my arm speed was up to snuff, I started to bag multiple Destroyers and, untill recently it was my main backhand and, forehand driver. It was even my go to for distance Thumbers and Tomahawks, but I discovered a couple different disc over the years which have replaced the Destroyers (Westside Sword for my backhand, the Discraft Flick and, Latitude 64 XXX for my Thumbers and Tomahawks). However, there isn't a disc on this planet that I would rather have for my forehand distance drives over a Star Destroyer!! They are consistently the farthest flying and, most accurate driver when it comes to my forehand and, I can consistently throw them 375ft-450ft. Getting the right one can be frustrating at times, because of the inconsistency in each individual disc, but when you get the right one it is easily in my top 3 favorite disc the throw and own. Also, the Star Halo Destroyers seem to have more consistency between each individual mold in my experience!
Great starter disc
The new plastic has a great feel to it and it's awesome to rhfh just learned how to throw the flex line with it and I love it
