Dynamic Discs Prime Plastic
Prime is the least expensive plastic Dynamic Discs makes: the same molds as the premium runs, in a grippy opaque baseline blend. Prime Burst is the identical plastic with swirled colour mixed in — the pattern is cosmetic and does not change how the disc flies.
Feel and durability
Soft, tacky and a little chalky in the hand, with grip that holds on in rain better than any premium blend. It is also the quickest plastic in the Dynamic range to take damage: tree hits leave marks, and a season of regular play will leave the disc flying noticeably straighter than it did new.
Why the fast wear can be an advantage
For a newer player that seasoning is usually an upgrade rather than a loss. A disc that beats in quickly gives you a straighter, more forgiving flight sooner, which is more useful at lower arm speeds than a disc that holds its original fade for a decade.
Best uses
Learning the game, field practice, loaners for friends, and any shot over water you would rather not pay premium prices to lose.
The same tier at the other Trilogy brands
Latitude 64 calls this tier Retro; Westside calls it Origio. One step up at Dynamic is Classic, which grips similarly but lasts longer.
